India’s Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) play a vital role in forming the technical competencies and expertise of individuals across a diverse choice of trades. The ITI examination system in India are pivotal in evaluating the knowledge and skills of aspiring professionals in their preferred fields.

ITI CBT Theory Examination

The ITI CBT theory  Exam, or Computer-Based Test, may be a national test conducted by the DGT under the aegis of National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) for its different trades who have completed their Industrial Training Institute (ITI) training course. The examination may be a multiple-choice exam that evaluates the students’ knowledge and aptitudes in their trades.

The ITI CBT Exam could be a 2 hour computer based test that consists of 100 questions. The questions are divided into two areas: hypothesis and viable. The hypothesis area consists of 60 questions, whereas the viable segment consists of 40 questions.

The Examination Process:
1. Annual System:
ITI exams are typically conducted on a annual basis, with examinations at the end of each academic year..
2. Theory and Practical Examinations:
ITI exams include both theoretical and practical works, ensuring a comprehensive analysis of students’ knowledge and hands-on abilities.
Practical examination often involve completing practical task relevant to the selected trade, assessing the application of theoretical principles in real-world scenarios.
3. Centralized Exams:
The NCVT conducts centralized exams the trades at the national level, providing a standardized assessment.

ITI Apprenticeships and Further Education:

ITI graduates often have the chance to engage in apprenticeships, getting practical training experience in their chosen trades.

Some trainees choose to pursue further education, such as diploma courses or engineering degrees, building on the foundation provided by their ITI qualifications.
